  • We try to achieve balance of power among members
  • People desire power
  • Full congregational buy-in is crucial

WHEN GOD IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END OF CHURCH MINISTRY

  • The prime goal is service that glorifies God
  • We shape the ministry according to what God seeks as revealed in scripture
  • We talk a lot about God and talk a lot to God
  • We help people embrace the whole Bible
  • We convey the tone and tenor of the whole Bible
  • We focus on the gospel and historic orthodoxy
  • We see evangelism as making worshipers
  • We focus on stewardship and quality
  • The leadership serves to make everyone holy
  • The leadership is a compass
  • We hold to sound philosophy so everyone will grow
  • We see God as the owner of every church
  • We evaluate programs by the big picture
  • We focus on fruit that lasts
  • We live by the Spirit’s power working in all members
  • People respect biblical authority
  • Making wise decisions is crucial
  • We serve because we appreciate the Lord Jesus
  • We want to be good and to do good
  • We want a good letter (Rev 1-3) from Jesus
