We believe that the deepest need and greatest joy of every person is fully realized in knowing Jesus Christ as Savior. This is the heartbeat of our church that motivates everything we do.

“Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

Luke 2:10–11

God is the source of all goodness, beauty, and life. He is also the creator of all things, especially mankind. God made us for the purpose of knowing and enjoying Him.

Tragically Adam, the first man, doubted God’s goodness and sought to make himself happy apart from God. This act of rejection brought a curse on the entire human race that caused the orientation of every human heart to seek happiness apart from God from their very birth.

This curse has also corrupted the good world God made by introducing evil, suffering, and death. We can observe this all around us today in our world. Many have offered solutions to this problem including things like social progress, education, and political reform. But the true problem with our world lies in the very heart of every human being who lives in rejection of the God of all goodness, beauty, and life.

Because God is good and just He won’t let His world continue in this state forever. He holds all mankind accountable by introducing death as judgment for our rebellion. But there is a greater judgment to come when all mankind will stand before God to give account to Him. The sentence God will pass on that day will be to give us what we’ve asked for – eternal separation from Him. However, to be separated from God is also to be separated forever from all goodness, beauty, and life.

In the greatest act of mercy and grace the world has ever known, God has made a way for us to be rescued from a future without Him. He did this by sending His Son into the world as one of us, on the most epic rescue mission ever! Jesus succeeded where all before Him have failed. He lived a life in perfect harmony with God, never once rejecting Him. Because of this, Jesus didn’t deserve to die. But He allowed Himself to be executed on a Roman cross, taking upon Himself the judgment of God that we deserved.

However, it was impossible for death to hold Jesus! Because God accepted Jesus’ payment in full for our rebellion, He raised Jesus from the dead after three days in the tomb!

As a free gift of grace, Jesus now calls ALL people everywhere to come to Him and be forgiven and reconciled to God, our good and beautiful creator! This is the good news of great joy for all people – That when you trust Jesus to be your Savior, His death counts as your death and His life is now your life! You no longer have to fear death because, like Jesus, death has no claim on you. And you don’t have to fear the judgment of God because Jesus’ perfect life is credited to you.

All mankind now has a choice.

  1. You can pay the debt for your rebellion yourself with your own life and face an eternity without any and all goodness, beauty, and life.

  2. You can trust Jesus to pay your debt for you and be reconciled to God where you will experience the fullness of His goodness, beauty, and life forever!

What will you choose? If you’ve decided to trust Jesus as your Savior, we would love to know about it and celebrate with you! We’d also love to help you grow in your new relationship with Jesus.

Statements of Faith

  • We believe that the Scriptures consisting of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, complete as the revelation of God's will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority in all matters to which they speak. (Matthew 4:4; 24:35; II Timothy 3:15-17; Titus 1:2; II Peter 1:19-21)

  • We believe in one God, creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that these are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:13-17; 28:19; Ephesians 1:3-14; Colossians 1:16-17)

  • We believe in God the Father, an infinite personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, sovereignty, wisdom, power, and love. We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 6:3; Malachi 3:6; Matthew 7:7-12; John 3:16; 4:24; 5:17-26; Ephesians 1:3-6; I Timothy 1:17;6:16)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son, and has precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We believe further that He is not only God, but true man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We also believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His people, and His personal, visible return from heaven. (Matthew 1:18-23; John 1:1-18; 8:34,46,58; II Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 2:9; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; I Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 1; 2:14; 4:15; 7:26-28)

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, His personality, and His work in regeneration, sanctification, and preservation. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to implement Christ's work of redeeming the lost and empowering the believer for godly living and service. (Genesis 1:2; Matthew 1:18; 28:19,20; John 3:5; 14:16-18; 16:5-15; Acts 1:8; II Corinthians 3:17,18; Titus 3:5,6)

  • We believe that God created man, male and female, in the image of God and free from sin. We further believe man is a sinner by nature and choice and is therefore spiritually dead. We also believe that those who repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:27; 2:16-3:24; Isaiah. 53:6; John 8:44; Acts 20:21; Romans. 1:18-33; 3:23; 5:12-21; Ephesians 2:1-3)

  • We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We further believe that this salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God, was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received by man through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. We further believe salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social concern. (Isaiah 52:12-53; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:24;25; 5:8; Ephesians 2:8-10; James 1:27; I Peter 3:18)

  • We believe that the Church is the spiritual body of which Christ is the head. We believe that the true Church is composed of all persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe that this body expresses itself in local assemblies whose members have been immersed upon a credible confession of faith and have associated themselves for worship, for instruction, for evangelism and for service. We believe the ordinances of the local church are believer's baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper. We also believe in the interdependence of local churches and the mutual submission of believers to each other in love. (Matthew 16:18; 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-47; I Corinthians. 4:17; 11:23-26; 12; Ephesians. 4:11-16; 5:21; Colossians. 1:18; Hebrews 10:25; I Timothy 3)

  • We believe that each local church is self governing in function and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority. We further believe that every human being is directly responsible to God in matters of faith and life, and that each should be free to worship God according to the dictates of his conscience. (Matthew 22:21; Acts 5:29; Romans. 13:1-7; 14:4,10,12)

  • We believe that the supreme task of every believer is to glorify God in his life; that his conduct should be blameless before the world; that he should be a faithful steward of his possessions; and that he should seek to realize for himself the full stature of maturity in Christ. (I Corinthians. 4:2; 10:31; II Corinthians. 5:9; Ephesians. 4:13, 17-32; I John 2:1-17; II Peter 3:14)

  • We believe that God has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one biological man and one biological woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sin (Gen. 2:24-25; Ex. 20:14, 17, 22:19; Lev. 18:22-23, 20:13, 15-16; Matt. 19:4-6, 9; Rom. 1:18-31; I Cor. 6:9- 10, 15-20; I Tim. 1:8-11; Jude 7). We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin (Gen. 1:27; Deut. 22:5)

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost, the eternal existence of all men either in heaven or in hell, and in divine judgments, rewards, and punishments. (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; I Corinthians. 15:50-52; II Corinthians. 5:10; Hebrews. 9:27; Revelations 20:5,11-15)
